Institute for Animal Health public consultation event postponed





The event, organised by West Berkshire Council, was due to be held at The Compton Swan tonight (Tues).
However, West Berkshire Council said that the ‘drop in’ event was to be re-scheduled as the pub was unable to host it.
At its meeting last week, West Berkshire Council executive approved a draft planning document for the Compton site, which sets out the environmental, social, economic and design issues for any future development.
The IAH has been identified as an opportunity site for the district council’s Core Strategy and the council now wants to know what people think.
The executive member for planning, Keith Chopping (Con, Sulhamstead) said that the loss of the IAH would have an impact on the village of Compton and therefore it was important that the redevelopment of the site was managed effectively.
Members of the public can have their say on the consultation until April 2 by visiting the West Berkshire Council website at
