Inter-schools equestrian show in Hamstead Marshall

Organiser, Vicki Kyle-Lawrence, said the show would feature the 12-member Clere School Equestrian Team, trained by Sam Albert, an Olympic rider based in Ball Hill.
“She is competing again this year in the London 2012 Olympics for Jamaica in the eventing so it is great that she spends time training the pupils who have been making a mark in the schools competitions regionally this year,” said Mrs Kyle-Lawrence, adding it was hoped other professional riders would support the show (to be confirmed).
Schools competing include: the Clere; St Bartholomew’s School, Newbury; Park House, Newbury; Kennet School, Thatcham; St Gabriel’s School, Sandleford Priory; and Cheam, with confirmation awaited from Pangbourne and Bradfield colleges.
During the show, Mrs Kyle-Lawrence will be presenting a cheque to the Hampshire & Isle of Wight and Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulances, a result of her fundraising efforts last year, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
The show is from 9am to 4pm at the Enborne Equestrian Centre (previously Hamstead Growers near Hamstead Marshall).
