Interest gives £800 boost to Shelterboxes

The president of Kennet School Interact Club, Laura Young, presented the cheque to club president, Frank Quinn, to be forwarded to the Shelterbox appeal.
Shelterboxes contain tents and basic survival equipment and are sent immediately to disaster areas of the world.
The money had been raised over the year by selling doughnut and cakes at the school and by helping the Rotary Club at various functions such as the Duck Race and the Santa Race.
Another Interact member, Megan Evans, had raised £140 of the donation by designing and selling note books.
Headteacher at the Stoney Lane school, Paul Dick, said that he was proud that his pupils had been doing so much in the community to help with good causes.
