Investigation into former pupil's mysterious death
Three men were arrested in connection with the death of Catherine Ellis, a 24-year-old hairdresser known as Cat, who has family in the Newbury area.
Miss Ellis, a mother of one, had been living in Buckingham, north Buckinghamshire.
Thames Valley Police revealed they were alerted by paramedics who attended a “medical episode” in Addington Road, Buckingham, around 11pm on January 21. Miss Ellis was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Police said a post mortem examination found the cause of death to be “inconclusive pending further toxicology results” and Det Chief Insp Gill Wootton said: “We have launched an investigation at this time to ascertain the circumstances around the woman’s death and determine the cause behind it.”
The three men arrested and questioned in connection with the death have now been released on police bail while the investigation progresses.
Her sister, Rebecca Bonas, a former pupil of Park House School, Newbury, still lives in the town.
Her mother, Amanda McAdams, announced on her Facebook page that Miss Ellis’ funeral would take place on Monday, February 10, at St Edmunds Church, Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire.
