Newbury arts organisation to bring together individuals and organisations with the common goal of finding a more sustainable way of living
THE Corn Exchange and The Base, Greenham, are jointly presenting a Sustainability Fair at the Corn Exchange on Saturday, March 9.
The free event will take place in the Balcony Bar and foyer and will be open from 10am to 5pm.
The Corn Exchange and The Base are continually seeking more sustainable ways in which to do things, with recent changes including removing single-use plastic and packaging from the Corn Exchange kiosk which helped it win the Bronze Plastic Free Newbury award.
The aim of the fair is to bring together a whole host of individuals and organisations, all with the common goal of finding a more sustainable way of living.
Visitors will be able to share ideas about sustainability, connect with businesses and organisations at the forefront of greener living and browse stalls selling environmentally-friendly products and crafts, all while enjoying freshly prepared and delicious food from the Corn Exchange Café Bar.
The fair has been organised to coincide with the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year 59 exhibition, which runs at The Base, Greenham, from Friday, March 1, to Sunday, April 14.
The exhibition shines a light on the world and has been instrumental in raising awareness of the human impact on the planet and its wildlife, advocating for ways in which we can preserve it for generations to come.
Exhibitors at the Sustainability Fair will include charities, organisations and small businesses who create sustainable products and services or work to better our understanding of being eco-conscious.
Exhibitor spaces are currently still available, enquire by contacting the Corn Exchange box office at boxoffice@cornexchangenew.co.uk or by calling (01635) 522733.
