Newbury IT expert Brian Brayley caught with more than 2,000 child sex images

A MAN caught with more than 2,000 indecent images of children is awaiting sentence.

Former IT consultant Brian Brayley appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 31.

The 77-year-old, of Old Newtown Road, Newbury, admitted having 744 images of children in Category A.

This is the most serious category depicting penetrative sex, bestiality or sadism.

He further admitted having 623 indecent images of children in Category B.

Next, Brayley admitted having 538 Category C indecent images of children.

Finally, he admitted having 399 prohibited images of children.

All the above offences were committed in Newbury between September 13, 2002, and August 4 last year.

Brayley, who was legally represented at the hearing by Meghan Pemberton, was told the offences would be sent to be sentenced by a judge sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

He was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
