Thatchamites enjoy first game club meeting in town




Thatcham Board Game Club held its first community meeting at the weekend.

The first session attracted 20 local people who played a range of board games during the two hour session on Saturday evening (April 26).

Games included Carcassonne, King of Tokyo, Azul, Tsuro, Splendor and many more.

Alaina Roberts, who started the group, said: “Our new monthly community group is the perfect place for board game enthusiasts to come together, learn new games and connect with others who share the same passion, all in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

The group is mainly targeted at adults but also welcomes accompanied teens aged 13 and above.

The next session is planned for Saturday, May 24, at 7.30pm at Moorside Community Centre, in Kennet Heath.
