It’s the 31st West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Show
PETROLHEADS were in heaven at the West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Show on Sunday, August 4.
The 31st annual event, organised by the West Berkshire Classic Vehicle Club (WBCVC), was held at Newbury Showground.
Dave Mills organised the very first Classic Vehicle Show at Newbury Racecourse in 1993 in aid of Leukaemia Research.
It has been held every August since then, Covid lockdown years excepted, and has so far raised around £350,000 for Blood Cancer UK.
Club chairman Mike Kent said: “This year we were graced with perfect weather – dry, warm, not too hot.
“The event was very well attended, with several hundred classic vehicles, and thousands of visitors.
“The Junk & Disorderly and Evoke Classics stands were extremely popular.”
The Evoke Classic Award winner, chosen by Sarah Crabtree, was the 1937 Triumph Dolomite owned by ‘Wilfred’.
The WBCVC Chairman's Choice Award went to the1960 Bedford J5 Fire Engine owned by Andrew Harris-Gander and was presented by Henry Cole of Junk & Disorderly.
Mr Kent added: “We would like to thank the local companies that sponsored and supported us.
“Special thanks to all the vehicle owners and visitors, who came along and helped to make this show a great success in raising funds for Blood Cancer UK.”
