Jane Asher to speak at Mary Hare School

As president of the National Autistic Society, Asher is to speak at a one day conference entitled Towards a Positive Future, for parents of children with special educational needs and the professionals who support them at the Arlington Arts Centre at the school, in Snelsmore Common.
Organiser Janet O’Keefe, a speech and language therapist and expert witness at tribunal appeals, said they were delighted to be holding their second annual conference at the school, adding:
“We have many expert speakers who will be highlighting the important issues for families with children who have special educational needs which are currently being reformed by the government.
“We are providing a desperately needed platform for them to discover what is planned and for them to meet other parents who face difficulties and challenges from their present Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision.”
The cost for professionals if two tickets are booked together is £90 each for the day including VAT, delegate pack, lunch and all refreshments.
For two parents booking together with a 50 per cent bursary, the cost is £45 each including VAT. The half price tickets are available for parents of pupils at the school, thanks to sponsors, Field Fisher Waterhouse.
Full price tickets can be booked online via the website, http://www.wordswell.co.uk.
Anyone seeking a bursary should telephone (01954)253525.
