Jewellery burglary at Tadley house

Extensive jewellery collection taken by burglars in daylight 'smash and grab' raid

A JEWELLERY collection of sentimental value has been taken in a 'smash and grab' raid on a Tadley house.

Sometime between 8.35am and 5.50pm on Monday, June 6, burglars broke into a house in Ramsdell Close, by smashing a rear window and after breaking a fence panel to gain access to the back garden.

A jewellery collection – including rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces - which the victim had amassed over many years and was of huge sentimental value, was stolen.

Pc Dave Cook of Hampshire police said: “This burglary happened during the daytime so I am appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious or heard the window being smashed to contact me.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pc Cook, at Basingstoke police station, on 101 or via www.hampshire.police.uk/internet/contact/message_officer.htm

Alternatively contact the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 anonymously. Minicom users should call 01962 875000.
