John Lewis at Home host tea party for the elderly

Twelve guests from Contact the Elderly, Newbury, and their drivers attended the event on Saturday, July 21.
John Lewis at Home Newbury branch manager, Dominic Joyce, said: “It’s great to kick off the greatest sporting event in the world by hosting members of the local community in our shop.
“With only a few days to go, excitement is really starting to build and as a branch we try and involve ourselves in the local community as much as we can.”
Group Co-ordinator for Contact the Elderly Newbury Group, Mary Eynon, said: “All the guests and volunteers had a fun afternoon, waving British flags, chatting and eating copious amounts of cake!”
John Lewis at Home, Newbury, hope to work with many more charities over the coming year.
