Joy for Nicky Henderson in Gold Cup

Mr Henderson’s horse, Bobs Worth (pictured right), was one of the favorites for the prestigious race and did not disappoint, winning ahead of Tidal Bay.
Barry Geraghty rode a perfectly-judged race on board Bobs Worth in front of a packed crowd at Newbury.
There had been doubt about Bobs Worth's participation in the race due to the hard ground, but it dried out to good to soft.
Speaking to NewburyToday this morning, Mr Henderson said: “It was a super day.
“Bobs Worth is a smashing, progressive horse and obviously he’s trained and owned locally.
“We didn’t have much time for celebration because we had sales at the racecourse, so I was there all night. We bought a few horses – hopefully another Bobs Worth.”
There were also some famous faces at yesterday’s racing, with former athlete Denise Lewis and actress Liz Hurley spotted.
