Kate Bush's former studio to be converted
Permission to convert the studio was granted last September but no development could take place until details of the new windows and doors had been approved by council planners.
The plans, submitted by Michael Taylor, sought to convert the recording studio into guest accommodation at the Shenfield Mill on Station Road.
The recording studio forms part of the Grade II-listed Georgian buildings set in a conservation area to the south of Theale.
The applicant says that the studio is being converted as it is no longer needed for its current purpose.
The plans also seek to demolish the existing wood store and construct a three-bay ‘car barn’ and dog kennels to the rear of the property.
A separate application has been submitted to replace the existing sluice gates on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Theale parish council and neighbouring Burghfield have raised no objections to the plans.
A decision is expected from West Berkshire council by October 7.
