Kate Middleton's former piano teacher composes jubilee song
Chapel Row composer Daniel Nicholls has written a new song entitled Sixty Years Our Queen, and hopes that with the help of a choir, YouTube, his website and a downloadable chart he can unite the country in musical harmony.
Mr Nicholls, who taught Kate Middleton piano during her schooldays, wrote A Song for Kate and Will to celebrate the royal wedding last year, and performed it in front of TV cameras beaming to a global audience on the day.
He and his wife Sandra took up the challenge of seeing how quickly a jubilee song can spread, and have been assisted in their quest by members of the choir at disability charity Enham Trust.
The choir comprises disabled people who live and work at the charity, their personal assistants and volunteer helpers.
“We want everybody to sing the song. It doesn’t have to be polished, just have fun and celebrate the Queen’s wonderful life as our Monarch,” he said.
“We just want people to video their performance and upload it onto the Big Jubilee Sing YouTube channel.”
