Keep the Olympic flame alive, beome a sport maker

This free event is designed to increase the number of people that get into sport right across Berkshire by encouraging them to organise their own events, clubs and initiatives.
Get Berkshire Active’s CEO, Mark Lawrie, said: “From setting up a Facebook running group, to volunteering to support a local sports festival or learning to be a coach at a local club we will support people to become sport makers.”
The event is free to all those who want to start organising a sporting event, no matter how small (or grand) the idea may be.
All participants will be provided with ideas and tools to help them maintain the positive spirit of the Olympics, whether this is starting their own sports group, volunteering at sports events or simply encouraging people to participate.
All attendees will receive a free t-shirt and rucksack.
