Kennet Leisure Centre commended
The Thatcham-based centre has passed a tough assessment from Sport England’s leading national quality scheme, Quest.
In order to achieve Quest Plus, Kennet Leisure Centre was mystery visited and assessed for more than two days in many aspects of leisure management including customer care, cleanliness, health and safety, staff training and supervision, maintenance and environmental management.
The second year assessment will consist of an additional one- day assessment and a second mystery visit.
The manager at the Stoney Lane centre, Mark Ranson, said “This is a fantastic achievement and a real team effort.
“Quest is an ongoing programme to improve our facility for both staff and customers, and a great way to demonstrate our achievements.”
Quest’s operations director, Caroline Constantine, said: “By meeting Quest’s high standards, Kennet Leisure Centre has shown its commitment to providing quality facilities and service to its customers.”
