Kennet pupils impress at school dance competition





A packed hall at the Stoney Lane school witnessed an evening of competitive dance, as the four Houses fought for the coveted trophy; judged by Kennet School dance teacher, Sarah Greener, local dance teacher, Helen Read and senior teacher at Whitelands Park Primary School, Meera Phillips, who provided all competitors with positive feedback.
The individual dances, choreography and production are arranged and organised by Sixth Formers who performed in front of the deputy mayoress of Thatcham, Lynn Pettyfer, other honoured guests, parents and friends of Kennet School.
The judges having cast their eye on the young performers, the Headmaster, Paul Dick OBE, presented the awards as follows:

Lower school ensemble St Patrick House
Upper school duet St Michael House
Upper school ensemble St Michael House
House Solo St David House
House Ensemble St Patrick House
Design St Francis House
Overall Winner St Michael House
Speaking at the end of the evening Mr Dick said: “Congratulations to every single performer. Dance goes from strength to strength at Kennet School and I am both amazed by and delighted for all our dancers. Congratulations one and all”.
