Kennet School alumni celebrate 15th reunion

The Kennet Group have celebrated their 15th reunion at Kennet School in Thatcham.

Cake, made by former teacher Mrs Shadwell, was shared and enjoyed by 18 members, including deputy mayor Mark Lillycrop.

Current head teacher Grace Rigg popped in to say hello as group founder David Canning addressed the room.

Mr Canning and his wife Marion Canning, who formed the group 15 years ago, met at the school on the day it opened on September 7, 1957.

Mr Canning thanked Gordon and Jenny Sutton, members of The Newbury Transport Group who came along to help with the raffle.
