Streatley Hill in Streatley to close from February 21 to February 23
A key route in and out of a West Berkshire village will be closed next weekend.
Streatley Hill will be closed between its junction with Reading Road and its junction with The Coombe in Streatley from 7pm on Friday, February 21, to 5pm on Sunday, February 23.
The closure has been authorised so that SGN can carry out permanent carriageway repairs following emergency gas works.
Residential access will be available where possible but blue light access will not be available.
During next week’s closure, motorists trying to leave west out of Streatley will be diverted south along the A329 through Lower Basildon to Pangbourne, before travelling along Pangbourne Hill to Upper Basildon, and north on Aldworth Road to Aldworth.
Motorists trying to enter the west side of Streatley before the Streatley Hill closure can still travel along east along the B4009.
The same diversion route applies in the opposite direction.
