Kingsclere Location, Location, Location for film crew

C4 presenters Kirsty Allsop and Phil Spencer spotted in village

Kingsclere villagers did a double take yesterday afternoon (Wed), when they spotted well known television presenters, Kirsty Allsop and Phil Spencer - along with a film crew - wandering through the village.

Best known for presenting the C4 property series, Location, Location, Location, the presenters were spotted by keen-eyed Kingsclere 'postie' of 11 years - Andrew Mitchell, a Midgham villager, who took a quick snap of them in passing on his mobile telephone.

"I saw them on Wednesday morning looking at a house in Byfields Road and not far from St Mary's Church," said Mr Mitchell, who said he also retrieved some papers accidentally dropped by the presenters and continued:

"They were sat near the war memorial and afterwards parked at the health centre and they had lunch at Bel & the Dragon at the Swan, in Swan Street."

A spokesperson for the pub afterwards confirmed the presenters lunched at the pub on Wednesday.

They were also spotted and photographed by joint proprietors, Steph Bagley and Vikki Macnab, of bloom2 flower shop in the village, which is situated overlooking the village war memorial and church.

Ms Bagley said the co-presenters were "Sat for ages," she said besides the war memorial adding: "They did a little bit of filming."
