Kintbury seven-year-old crowned British grass track champion

Max Perry achieved the title after a very successful year in the sport, in which he won 13 of the 14 competitions he entered, coming in at second place once.
The competitions included the East Midlands Centre Championships and the ACU British Youth Grass Track Racing Championship.
Max rides at Swindon speedway events every Thursday evening before the main races, and was recently asked to join its 125cc junior team after his eighth birthday.
And he has achieved all this in just his second year of racing. Max entered - and won - his first competition two weeks after his sixth birthday, and was crowned ACU South West Centre Grass Track champion 2013.
His mum, Cara Perry, said: “We are very proud of him, it’s is just amazing seeing as he is only seven-years-old.
“Both Max and my husband Rob have put so much time and effort in, travelling to different events where Max has won nearly every race he has been in.”
His Dad, Robert Perry, added: “I am very proud of Max.
“He has worked incredibly hard this year and has always given 100 per cent effort at every race event. He fully deserves his British title.
“We would also like to personally thank all of Max’s sponsors for their generosity and continuous support and look forward to working with them in the 2015 Grass track season.”
