Knife attack on Tilehurst man




Man knifed in face after winding down car window to give directions

A TILEHUST man has been knifed in the face, whilst sitting in his vehicle in the driveway of his home.

According to Thames Valley Police, the attack happened at around 7.30am on Tuesday (December 6) when a 36-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle in the driveway of his home in Lyndhurst Road, Tilehurst.

He was approached by a man and wound down his car window thinking the man needed directions, but he was then assaulted with an implement, possibly a Stanley knife, with the blade not fully extended.

The man suffered a minor laceration to his cheek.

The attacker was described as black, in his early thirties, of athletic build and 5ft 10ins, with crew cut black hair.

He was wearing a black bomber jacket and also has a couple of distinctive gold teeth.
