Lambourn family speaks of raising miracle quads one year on

It is just over a year since the Newbury Weekly News introduced the miracle babies to the world.
Even more astonishingly, the Turner quads - James, Joshua, Lauren and Emily - are two sets of identical twins.
IT specialist Mr Turner said: “The odds were something like 70 million to one. The journey we’ve been on has been phenomenal. It feels like six years… it’s changed my outlook on life completely.”
Proud parents Julian and Sharon have witnessed every parent’s precious moments, milestones and occasional misery - but, in each case, multiplied by four.
For this Upper Lambourn family, routine activities such as babies’ bath time, bedtime, learning to sit and crawl, require nothing short of military precision.
The Turners were amazed to find they were expecting a multiple birth after years of unsuccessfully trying to conceive.
But, like buses, you wait and wait… and then four come along at once.
The NWN scoop prompted an international media blitz and the family was mobbed on visits to the supermarket.
Now, with the family about to star in a television documentary highlighting their first 12 months together, we revisit the Turners.
Find out how they’ve coped in this week’s NWN.
