Lambourn Valley villages hit by water loss

Worst affected were East Garston, Great Shefford and Eastbury.
Great Shefford householder Brenda Scott said: "There was absolutely no water this morning.
"Each village was having to set up bottled water stations.”
A spokesman for Thames Water, Simon Evans, said: “An eight inch-wide main burst at around 3.30am today (Wednesday) on Newbury Road, interrupting water supplies to 600 properties in the villages of East Garston, Eastbury and Great Shefford.
"Our engineers were on the scene an hour later and by lunch-time had completed repairs.
"We are really sorry to the people affected.”
