UPDATE: Lane shut after crash on A34 northbound between Chieveley and East Ilsley

UPDATE: The A34 northbound has been cleared after a multi-vehicle crash earlier this morning (Wednesday).

Lane two of two was closed on the A34 northbound carriageway between the junctions with the M4 at Chieveley and the A4185 due to the accident.

Long delays of up to 40 minutes were anticipated for motorists heading towards Oxford.

Traffic conditions have now returned to normal, according to National Highways.
