Lanterns to light Newbury town centre today (Sun)

Hundreds of children and parents are expected to turn out to take part in the Corn Exchange’s annual Festival of Light lantern procession.
Local youngsters have been attending workshops in recent weeks to learn how to build and create their own lanterns, and will have the chance to proudly parade them through Newbury this afternoon.
The parade will begin at 4:30pm outside the Methodist Church in Northbrook Street and will travel down to the Market Place for a finale of live music.
