‘Laughs all round’ for Thatcham Youth’s free magic show
There were ‘laughs all round’ for a free magic show hosted by Thatcham Youth.
The organisation has been putting together events for children to enjoy during the summer holidays.
These activities have been funded by the National Lottery.
Last week Thatcham Youth hosted a magic show with children’s entertainer Fred in the Shed.
There were two one-hour shows each packed with a packed hall filled with children of all ages eager to join in and have fun.
There was lots of audience participation including an appearance from Thatcham town councillor Ben Schiffer-Harte (Thatcham North East) who sportingly donned a wig, tutu and comedy ventriloquist mask.
“He was asked to do a series of dance moves including ballet and Irishdancing similar to river dance,” said Thatcham Youth chairman Dave Carter.
“Without hesitation he obliged and there were lots of laughs all round.”
He added: “The show’s host, Dan Hudson, is an accredited musician is part of the Magic Circle.
“Known as Fred he is a funny, natural entertainer who can engage any audience.”
Thatcham Youth is always looking for volunteers to help with its community events, Zone Youth Club, Vision Youth Club and management committee.
