Legion members hold memorial dinner

The annual dinner is organised by the Legion for those members who cannot regularly attend the club.
This year’s event was held in memory of former branch president Lt Col Michael Westropp, who died earlier this year.
Among the 90 people present were Lt Col Westropp’s widow Janine, the mayor of Newbury Jo Day and her consort town councillor David Allen.
The vice-chairman of the Newbury Legion, Graham Hillyard, said that everyone enjoyed their meal and the entertainment provided.
