Lessons learnt from a Newbury pupil in Auschwitz





As a participant of the Holocaust Education Trust ‘Lessons From Auschwitz’ project, 16-year-old Evers House pupil Lauren Counsell, who travelled to Auschwitz (pictured right) and Auschwitz-Birkenau (main image) former death camps has written to the Newbury Weekly News as part of the second stage of the Holocaust Education trust’s project, which is to share the experiences and lessons learnt from the visit with her local community in order to educate a wider audience.
Lauren visited the camps, now museums, with a fellow St Bart’s pupil and about 200 pupils from other schools nationally.
