It has already had a three-day closure between Newbury railway station and Bedwyn, with further closures to come in November.

Before that, the track operating company needs to work on the Hamstead Marshall level crossing on Park Lane.

It will close the crossing to all traffic, including emergency services, on Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4, between 9pm and 7am.

It affects Milkhouse Road between Marsh Benham and Park Lane, and a diversion route will be in place.

A plan of the closure and diversion route can be found at one.network/?tm=GB140404932

The works reference is KL2695609BHL03102024.
