Live updates: Flooding causes problems on roads and rail in West Berkshire





NewburyToday has also had reports of flooding in Station Road, Newbury, which was closed this morning, has caused a sewage leak (pictured, top).
A spokeswoman for Thames Water, Sarah Sharpe, said: "We’re really sorry to anyone affected by our work in Station Road.
“Recent heavy rain has led to flooding, with floodwater going into our sewers, which are designed to take only wastewater from homes and businesses.
“We’re working as hard as we can to clear the excess water and keep water levels down.”
She confirmed that engineers were currently at the site to address the issue.
She added: "We have sent engineers out to check all the local pumping stations to check they are working properly."
There are also reports of flooding in Charnham Street, Hungerford.
Flooding at the entrance roundabout to the Vodafone Headquarters, Shaw, is also said to be causing alterations to the Vodafone shuttle bus services.

bury, causing standing water covering most of the road to form by the bridge.
Flood water is also covering parts of the A339 through Headley, causing hazardous driving conditions, while Station Road, Newbury, is closed between Link Road and the A339 Greenham Road due to flooding.
One resident in Skylings, Newbury, Lucy Buckland (pictured, middle) said the road has become so flooded that it is almost impassable and has been out to buy sandbags in preparation, to protect her property from flooding.
Lower Way, Thatcham, close to the sewage works, also has deep puddles on either side of the road, and newburytoday.co.uk has also had reports of deep surface water on the A4 London Road, close to the Newbury Manor Hotel.
We have also had reports of flooding on Grove Road and Oxford Road (pictured, bottom

), Newbury , and on the Newbury to Boxford Road .
The road passing The Living Rainforest in Hampstead Norreys is also reported to be flooded, while fields at Highwood Farm, Long Lane, Hermitage, are said to be holding water which could flood onto the surrounding road network.
NewburyToday has also received reports that the road crossing the Ufton Nervet rail bridge is flooded, while Stroud Green, Greenham, is said to be waterlogged.
Streatley has felt the impact of the heavy rain, with several of the country lanes flooded. An employee at The Swan, Streatley, said a number of emplyees had had difficulty driving into work this morning.
One lane of Love Lane, Donnington was flooded at the junction with Northern Avenue last night and this morning.
Reports on Twitter are advising people to avoid travelling between Marlborough and Froxfield if possible due to flooding on surrounding roads, and there have also been reports that roads leading to Great Bedwyn station have been closed due to flooding.
Due to flooding on the lines between Newbury and Westbury, a number of rail services are also being delayed at short notice, and operator First Great Western is urging anyone who needs to travel to check their journey first at http://www.journeycheck.com/firstgreatwestern
