Local elections 2024: Votes are in for North Hampshire wards Evingar, Tadley & Pamber and Tadley North, Kingsclere & Baughurst with two Conservative losses
North Hampshire residents have elected their borough councillors.
The results for the Basingstoke and Dean Borough Council elections were counted on May 3.
And the results are in for Evingar, Tadley & Pamber and Tadley North, Kingsclere & Baughurst.
There were two Conservative losses in these three North Hampshire wards.
The Conservatives won Evingar with Jo Perry receiving 1,299 votes.
Pauleen Malone (Lib Dem) had 450 votes, Chris Whitehead (Green) had 360 votes, Jen Lee (Lab) had 184 votes and Phil Heath (Hampshire Independents) had 165 votes.
There was a 33.4 per cent voter turnout in this ward.
Tadley & Pamber saw a Liberal Democrat gain with Kevin Chatburn winning 1,393 votes.
Kerri Carruthers (Con) followed with 976 votes, Christina Jordan (Reform UK) with 224 votes and Jay Ahuji (Lab) with 211 votes.
There was a 32.4 per cent voter turnout in this ward.
The Conservatives also lost Tadley North, Kingsclere & Baughurst, with Lib Dem man David Conquest winning 1,125 votes.
Stuart Frost (Con) had 765 votes, Ken Rhatigan (Independent) had 704 votes and Matthew Russell (Lab) had 282 votes.
There was a 34.32 per cent voter turnout in this ward.
The new overall council composition is Conservative Party - 16 seats, Labour Party - 11 seats, Liberal Democrats - 11 seats, Basingstoke & Deane Independents - 10 seats, Independent - 3 seats, Green Party - 2 seats, Women's Equality Party - 1 seat.
