Stockcross and Surroundings History Association meeting next week

The Stockcross and Surroundings History Association’s next meeting will take place at Sutton Hall, Church Road, at 2pm on Wednesday, August 10.
The meeting will see David Peacock, a knowledgeable local historian, holding a question and answer session.
The event will be open to all with guest tickets costing just £5.
Membership to the Stockcross and Surroundings History Association costs £15.
The historical society’s website states its aim is to “research, preserve and make available archives, artefacts and information relating to Stockcross and the surrounding area and to encourage active interest and participation in our local history”.
The group meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
