Local runners gear up for half marathon
Newbury siblings are among thousands of competitors who will be running for charity
HUNDREDS of West Berkshire runners will be among 16,500 competitors taking part in the Reading Half Marathon tomorrow (Sunday).
The race will start with the wheelchair competitors at 10am from Green Park, Reading, with the finishing line at the Madejski Stadium.
Many competitors, such as Newbury siblings, Matt and Louise Bailey, who are running for the Vision Charity, which raises money for blind and visually-impaired children, will be using the race as a warm up for the London Marathon next month.
The event will also include a 2.8km run open to all, which will also take place at Green Park at 8.30am.
