Local traders wanted for The Great Christmas Carnival Newbury Racecourse
The producers of The Great Christmas Carnival at Newbury Racecourse are looking for local businesses to trade at the event.
They are currently inviting applicants who might be interested in selling their wares at the festive event which begins next month.
The carnival is being produced by live events company Underbelly, the company behind Christmas in Leicester Square and previously Edinburgh’s Christmas.
Event producer Ruth Fisher said: “We know from our experience in London and Edinburgh that the festive market is the number one draw for the visitors to our Christmas events.
“Shoppers are looking for that special gift, or a new decoration or to take home something hand-crafted from their visit to the Christmas market.”
Business who are interested in trading at the carnival’s Christmas market should contact trading@newburygreatchristmascarnival.co.uk or 0131 510 7817.
The Great Christmas Carnival is also offering opportunities for local businesses to work in partnership with the event.
There are a number of packages available which include a combination of onsite branding and tickets. Business interested in this should email maryg@underbelly.co.uk.
Billed as "the biggest festive event in the South outside of London", The Great Christmas Carnival will run at Newbury Racecourse from November 27 until January 2.
Entry tickets cost from £5 to £7.50 with under threes going free, but those who attend will have to pay extra to experience attractions.
For example, a ride on the Greatest Hits Radio Big Wheel will cost £8, a trip through the fun house another £8, and tickets to a 45-minute circus performance range from £12.50 to £24.50.
