Log cabin becomes classroom asset
The new area will provide extra learning space for foundation stage pupils at Brimpton Primary School
A FAMILIAR sight in national parks and mountain ranges, a school in Brimpton has its very own log cabin.
To be used as a new learning space, the cabin at Brimpton Church of England Primary School was officially opened on Friday, May 27.
It will provide extra space for foundation stage pupils, an extra room to be used as a library and for one-to-one tuition, and a room for staff to use planning, preparation and assessment.
The chairman of West Berkshire Council, Peter Argyle (Con, Calcot) was on hand to cut the ribbon, alongside the council's head of education services, Ian Pearson.
Mr Pearson said: The delivery of this project is an example of aspiration and achievement through real partnership between school, local authority, diocese and contractors, delivering not only much needed learning space but a real asset for the community and cohorts of children to come.”
