Looking for free activities for the kids this summer?
Children can do anything from make their own badges to learn a new circus skill across West Berkshire libraries
FUN, free activities continue throughout the summer holidays in all West Berkshire Libraries.
The libraries have teamed up with the Berkshire Association of Clubs for Young People to give youngsters the opportunity to or try their hand at circus skills such as juggling, poi twirling or diabolos.
Staying with the circus theme, the summer reading challenge, called circus stars, for four to 11-year-olds also continues until the end of September.
Over 2,500 local children have already taken part, collecting rewards such as free vouchers to Beale Park.
When children have read six books they will receive a medal via the library for special presentation ceremonies across West Berkshire Schools.
Staff from Shaw House will also be on hand to offer children the chance to make a Tudor head-dress and find out what Tudor children wore.
All of these events are free and children can just turn up at any of the libraries holding the events with their parents or carers to have fun.
