Lorry overturns on A339 near Greenham Business Park





Watch manager of Red Watch at Newbury Fire Station, Bob Mitchell, said four pumps were called to the scene at 5.30qam today, including one from Newbury, two more from Kingsclere and Tadley and the heavy rescue unit from Basingstoke.
The container lorry, loaded with ceramics, had been exiting the park and overturned on a roundabout.
Firefighters used hydraulics and an electric saw to cut their way into the vehicle, before removing the windscreen.
The driver was then removed from the lorry, before being taken to hospital by waiting paramedics in an ambulance.
The road was closed during the operation.
Firefighters left the scene at 6.30am.

South Central Ambulance confirm a man was taken to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital following this incident, with non life threatening injuries
