Lots going on to keep the family entertained in West Berks today (Sun)

Newburytoday.co.uk is pleased to offer a run down of a number of events going on in West Berkshire today.
The Newbury food festival, part of Newbury Fest, will be in the Market Place today, from 10am until 4pm, with around 80 stalls offering tasters of local produce.
There will also be cooking demonstrations from local chefs throughout the day.
Alternatively, you could get your cycling shorts on and head down to Hungerford for its 15th annual Big Wheel Bike Ride.
There is a choice of three cycle routes; an off-road route of 32 miles; a shorter family ride of 24 miles avoiding the worst hills and muddiest tracks and, for the first time this year, a 10 mile cycle route has been introduced for families with younger children.
The family ride starts from Hungerford Common at 10.45am; the off road route starts from the same place at 10.35am and the children’s route starts from Savernake Forest at 1.30pm.
Entry fees are £12.50 for an individual and £9 per child and families can pay £30 on the day.
If you fancy something a bit more laid-back, also on the cards is Thatcham’s annual family fun day, from 11am to 4pm, offering a mix of sports, activities, food and competitions at Henwick Worthy Sports Ground.
On the agenda is the 750m Junior fun run as well as sports demonstrations and taster sessions from a range of local groups, a classic car show and a host of fairground rides and attractions., with free entry.
A bouncy castle, bungee run and tombola are on the agenda for Mary Hare at its summer fair today.
The event is being held at the primary school, at Arlington Manor, Snelsmore Common, at a cost of £1 for adults and 50p for children and concessions.
A range of stalls will also be present, offering services from haircuts to glitter tattoos.
All profits will go towards the schools youth club for deaf children and the Happy Days Coles Diner youth club for autistic children.
St Mary’s Church in Aldworth is also holding a flower festival named ‘Tea and Cakes’ after unveling the newly restored life-sized statues, known as The Aldworth Giants, earlier this month.
This will include book and plant stalls, morning coffee, strawberries and cream as well as afternoon tea.
A special festival service, open to all, will take place on June 30 which will celebrate a new extension that provides a kitchenette and disable toilet.
This will be officially opened by the Archdeacon of London, David Meara, after the evening prayer at 6pm.
