Lots of outdoor events in West Berkshire today (Sunday)





A nine-mile circular walk at Greenham and Crookham Common is on offer, as part of Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust’s Linking the Landscape initiative and the Thatcham Festival of Arts and Leisure. Starting at Crookham Common, the group will head for lunch at the Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead. Suitable for those aged eight and over.

In Thatcham, the Festival Food Fair opens its doors with a range of local and regional producers serving up treats, from 10am and 3pm at the Frank Hutchings Community Hall.
Meanwhile, from 2pm to 4pm, there will be the Thatcham Festival Bird Walk, at Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre.
The walk will be led by volunteer Graeme Stewart around the lake.

It will be a 9.5-mile undulating walk to Westridge Green, Streatley and Stitchens Green, with lunch at the Boat House café, Streatley – or why not take a picnic? More details on (01235) 835618.
