Lots on offer at launch of new Weight Watchers venue today (Tues)

The event is open to existing members and those looking to join up, and several local residents who have lost weight with the programme will be on hand to talk of their experience.
The mayor of Newbury, Anthony Pick, will be cutting a ribbon to officially mark the launch of the new venue at 10.30am, and the event will run until around 1.30pm.
People will be able to sign up to Weight Watchers with their first month for £10 – a saving of £11.95 – an offer only available at the launch.
A spokesperson for Weight Watchers Newbury, Sarah Hill, said: “We are waving goodbye to our old various venues around Newbury and saying hello to a bigger and better one.
“There will be more flexible meeting times, more motivation and support than ever before.
“The six meetings in 2013 will be replaced with 12 new meetings at our new venue.
“Weight Watchers is launching a whole new, simple way to start your weight loss in 2014.”
The Chequers Hotel is in Oxford Street, Newbury.
