Sing For Fun wins Best Community Choir in South East award
Sing For Fun, which currently has groups in Andover, Basingstoke, Goring, Newbury and Reading, has been crowned Best Community Choir, South East in SME’s annual awards.
This prestigious recognition underscores their aim of fostering a vibrant, supportive, and engaging singing community for all.
Over the last 19 years, Sing For Fun has been a source of fun and friendship in the South East, bringing together people of all ages, backgrounds and musical abilities. Director Hannah Baron said: “We are proud to have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone, no matter their previous experience, can share the joy of singing, grow their musical skills, and form lasting friendships. This award acknowledges our ongoing dedication to excellence, inclusivity, and community engagement.”

Sing For Fun have announcde that they will be offering a free taster session for new members who might want to come along to try a session without any obligation. “We encourage anyone who's ever fancied being part of a choir, or simply enjoys singing in the shower, to come and experience the community spirit and camaraderie that defines Sing For Fun. There's no need to read music or have previous choir experience - all we ask for is your willingness to give it a go and a big dollop of enthusiasm!”
