Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to this week’s Dog of the Week.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
And so every Sunday we will continue to shine a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 687 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
Today we have this lovely, little lady to introduce you to.
Lottie is a timid two-year-old crossbreed who needs a home that is willing to take things at her pace.
She looks and acts a lot like a hound and her love of exploring would also suggest this.
Lottie enjoys the company of calm dogs and being around them really boosts her confidence.
But she is worried by loud, unexpected sounds and close handling at the vets.
Her adopters will need to be prepared and willing to take on her training to help her cope better with these things.
Lottie will need access to a garden or outdoor space and would really benefit from living with another dog.
It would also be better for her to live in a quieter location, where she wouldn’t need to regularly travel in the car.
You can contact Dogs Trust to find out more about Lottie or any of the other dogs they are currently looking to rehome.
