Lovely weather for ducks
Artists tempt visitors into Compton studio by fair means or fowl
OAKWOOD House, Coombe Road, Compton, set in the rolling Berkshire countryside, is hosting a splendid exhibition by Susanna Bailey and Kevin Scully, as part of Open Studios 2011. Last Sunday, the assembled company were greatly surprised when they were joined by seven Indian Runner Ducks who waddled in to view the show. They had decided to take in a few watercolours on their way home that evening. They flapped about with great enthusiasm at the sight of the river scenes, the boats, and were not at all put out by the abstract nature of some of the paintings. After several circuits of the gallery and much quacking, they marched off, one after the other, in the direction of Surbiton.
The exhibition is open from 11am-5pm every Saturday and Sunday.
