M4 closed between junction 14 at Hungerford and junction 15 for Swindon after crash
UPDATE: 12.10pm: The M4 remains closed this afternoon as crash investigation work is carried out.
The road is now not expected to reopen until after 5pm today (Monday).
The closure is in place on the westbound carriageway, between junction 14 at Hungerford and junction 15 for Swindon.
The crash – between a coach and lorry – happened just before 5am this morning.
There is also heavy congestion on all routes through Hungerford, Aldbourne and Marlborough as traffic diverts around the closure.

UPDATE: 11am: The M4, through West Berkshire, is now not expected to reopen until 3.45pm today (Monday).
It is currently closed, westbound, between junction 14 at Hungerford and junction 15 at Swindon after an earlier crash.
UPDATE: 10am: The westbound carriageway of the M4 is now expected to remain closed until at least 2.30pm, after an earlier two-vehicle crash.
Emergency services remain on the scene.
UPDATE: 7.55am: National Highways now says it does not expect the motorway to reopen until after 11.15am.
Traffic is also heavy on the eastbound carriageway of the M4, between junction 15 and junction 14, with delays of at least 10 minutes.
There is also congestion on the A4 into Hungerford as all traffic diverts off of the motorway.
The M4 is currently closed through part of West Berkshire.
This is due to a “serious crash” on the westbound entry slip at junction 14 for Hungerford.
All three lanes on the westbound carriageway, between junction 14 and junction 15 at Swindon have been shut after the crash between a lorry and a bus just before 5am.
Police, fire and ambulance services, as well as National Highways’ traffic officers, are currently at the scene.
The road is not expected to reopen until around 9.45am.
A diversion is currently in place from junction 14, through Charnham Park, Aldbourne and along the B4192 and A419 to junction 15.
National Highways is advising drivers to avoid the area and allow extra time for their journeys.
