M4 eastbound Newbury to Theale to close overnight for resurfacing work




Closure starts tonight for three nights

THE M4 eastbound between Newbury and Theale will be closed tonight and for three nights, due to resurfacing work.

According to Highways England, the M4 junctions 13 (Chieveley) to 12 (Theale) eastbound will be closed between 10pm and 6am.

A diversion will be in place via the A4.

Lane closures will also be in place between 10pm and 6am on the eastbound carriageway overnight from Thursday (Dec 15) and for three nights (Monday to Friday only).

In addition, lane closures will be in place on the westbound carriageway overnight between 10pm and 6am from tonight for 5 nights.

Work to maintain street lighting columns will also be taking place at the M4 junction 13 Chieveley intersection with the A34 overnight between 10pm and 5am on Friday December 16.

In addition, the A34 northbound exit and entry slip roads into the Moto service area will be closed during the same period.

A diversion will be in place via the opposite service area access (A34 southbound link).

Further along the M4, at Junction 8/9 Maidenhead, the westbound exit and entry slip roads will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am tonight and until Tuesday December 20 (Mon to Fri only) for street lighting and drainage work.

In addition, the eastbound exit and entry slip roads at junction 8/9 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am until Wednesday December 14, with diversions in place via adjacent junctions.
