M4 Hungerford petrol tanker fire extinguished by Newbury firefighters

According to the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS), both pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 7.09am, to the M4 westbound, to a small fire in the rear axle of the petrol tanker, with assistance from Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS).
Firefighters extinguished the blaze with a hosereel jet, before leaving the scene at 8.34am.
