Heavy traffic on M4 due to lane closure, eastbound, between junction 13 at Chieveley and junction 12 for the A4 at Theale

A lane closure on the M4 continues to cause traffic misery for commuters this morning (Tuesday).

One lane is currently closed, eastbound, between junction 13 at Chieveley and junction 12 for the A4 at Theale.

The closures are part of a series of carriageway construction works identified by National Highways as being planned until the beginning of November along that stretch of the motorway.

The current lane closure is due to be in place until 6am on Friday (August 25).

Both National Highways and the AA currently report heavy traffic along the entire stretch of the motorway between junctions 13 and 12.

The same lane closure caused significant delays on that stretch of motorway yesterday too.
