Major congestion on A34 northbound from the M4 junction at Newbury

Major traffic delays are being reported on the A34 northbound out of Newbury this morning (Friday).

Delays of up to 40 minutes are to be expected.

The issues are affecting the stretch of road between the M4 and the A34's junction with the A4185.

Normal traffic conditions are expected to return between 11.45am and 12pm.

The A34 southbound does not appear to have been impacted.

Travellers should plan their journeys accordingly.
