'Make flower show blooming marvelous' - organisers

Festival is 41 years old this year

LAMBOURN Flower Festival is 41 years old this year and organisers want your help to make it more blooming marvelous than ever.

And it's not too late for people to enter at the last minute, with entry forms available at the Universal Stores or from the Sports Club in Bockhampton Road.

Alternatively, forms and a schedule can be downloaded from www.lambourn.info and entrants from outside the village are welcome.

The show takes place on Saturday and doors open to the public from 2.30pm.

The presentation to major prize winners will take place at 4.30pm followed by an auction of produce to raise money for the Sports Club.

As well as the flower festival, the Sports Club is holding its annual fete on the same day with side shows, stalls, mini train rides, Pheonix Brass Band, refreshments and a licensed bar.
